FAQ’s

Do new sessions begin at certain times, or can I start anytime?

Start anytime! Registration is on-going.

Are there classes for beginners?

Jazzerise offers intensity options for all fitness levels. Within each class, the instructors show modifications for all aerobic and strength routines. Tailor the workout to suit your needs! Classes often present a mixture of new participants and people who have been doing Jazzercise for a long time.

How much does a class cost?

Please view our pricing optionsĀ here.

Can I just drop in for class or do I need to let you know I’m coming?

By all means just drop in! We strongly recommend that on your first visit you come 15 minutes before class begins so that we can give you all the information you’ll need.

How often should I exercise?

If you are new to exercise, begin with 2-3 classes a week and gradually add classes. For optimum fitness, work out 4-5 times per week.

What are the instructors’ credentials?

Jazzercise instructors participate in an intensive screening process as well as training and certification program, and are CPR certified. Instructors also continue their education in all aspects of dance and physiology to keep abreast of the latest developments in fitness.

May I bring drinks and food to a class?

We recommend Jazzercisers bring a non-breakable water bottle with a lid to class. Prevent accidents and spillage by keeping drinks out of the way of other Jazzercisers. No food or gum, please.

Do I need weights?

Weights are optional for new customers. We recommend you familiarize yourself with the basic exercises and techniques before using light (3-5lb.) weights.

Do I need special clothes or equipment?

Any loose, comfortable clothes are fine. Most people wear bike shorts or jazz pants and a bra top or T-shirt. You can bring along a towel or exercise mat for the floor work if you’d like, but we do have mats available for your use as well.

Good, rubber-soled aerobic shoes are recommended.
